夜よ明あけの丘おかで、
声こえは静しずかに空そらへ昇のぼる。
真しん実じつは遠とおくまで届とどく。

On a hill before dawn,
a voice rises quietly into the sky.
Truth travels far away.

灯あかりがともるころ、
一いち日にちの疲つかれがほどけてゆく。
静しずけさが部へ屋やを満みたす。

As lamps begin to glow,
the weariness of the day loosens gently.
Quietness fills the room.

小ちいさな灯あかりのそばで、
心こころはようやく眠ねむりを許ゆるす。
夜よるはやさしく包つつみこむ。

Beside a small lantern,
the heart finally allows itself to rest.
Night wraps everything gently.

笑えい声こえのあいだに、
人ひと々びとは時ときを忘わすれて座すわる。
温あたたかな光ひかりが続つづいてゆく。

Between bursts of laughter,
people forget the passing of time.
Warm light continues into the night.

言こと葉ばより先さきに、
人ひとは静しずかに近ちかづいてくる。
ぬくもりは距きょ離りを越こえる。

Before words are spoken,
someone quietly draws near.
Warmth crosses every distance.

積つみみ重かさねられたものより、
満みち足あしりた心こころが尊とうとい。
静しずかな豊ゆたかさが残のこる。

More valuable than piled treasures
is a heart already content.
A quiet richness remains.

少すこしずつ蓄たくわえたものが、
冬ふゆの日ひを支ささえてくれる。
慎つつしみは力ちからになる。

What is saved little by little
supports the cold days of winter.
Restraint becomes strength.

風かぜのなかでも、
一いち本ぽんの木きは静しずかに立たっている。
季き節せつだけが通とおりり過すぎる。

Even in the wind,
a single tree stands quietly.
Only the seasons pass by.

光ひかりのこぼれる道みちを、
二に本ぽんの木きが並ならんで守まもっている。
朝あさ露つゆが草くさに残のこる。

Along a light-filled path,
two trees stand guarding together.
Morning dew remains on the grass.

深ふかい緑みどりの奥おくでは、
世せ界かいがゆっくり呼こ吸きゅうしている。
言こと葉ばは必ひつ要ようない。

Deep within the green,
the world breathes slowly.
No words are necessary.

春はるの色いろは、
突とつ然ぜん森もりの中なかに現あらわれる。
静しずかな驚おどろきが花はなになる。

Spring color
suddenly appears within the forest.
Quiet wonder becomes blossom.

長ながい年とし月つきを越こえて、
大おおきな枝えだは空そらを支ささえる。
強つよさは沈ちん黙もくの中なかにある。

Across many long years,
great branches uphold the sky.
Strength lives within silence.

通とおりり道みちの形かたちが、
見みえない境きょう界かいを作つくっている。
その向むこうへ人ひとは進すすむ。

The shape of the pathway
creates an unseen boundary.
Beyond it, people continue onward.

見み上あげた空そらで、
葉はは光ひかりと風かぜに揺ゆれている。
遠とおい青あおさが広ひろがる。

High above,
the leaves sway in light and wind.
A distant blue spreads outward.

古ふるい棚たなの上うえに、
小ちいさな記き憶おくが静しずかに並ならぶ。
時ときは埃ほこりのように積つもる。

Upon an old shelf,
small memories rest quietly in rows.
Time gathers like dust.

熟うれた実じつの香かおりが、
夏なつの光ひかりを思おもいい出ださせる。
甘あまさは短みじかく過すぎてゆく。

The scent of ripe fruit
recalls the light of summer.
Sweetness passes quickly.

薄うす紫むらさきの花はなは、
風かぜの中なかで静しずかに揺ゆれている。
春はるは声こえなく訪おとずれる。

Pale violet blossoms
sway quietly in the wind.
Spring arrives without a sound.

小ちいさな芽めであっても、
光ひかりへ向むかう力ちからを持もっている。
成せい長ちょうは静しずかにはじまる。

Even a small sprout
holds the strength to seek the light.
Growth begins quietly.

誰だれかが去さったあとも、
椅いす子こだけがそこに残のこる。
静しずかな時じ間かんを見み守まもっている。

Even after someone leaves,
the chair remains behind.
It watches over silent time.

色いろを失うしなった葉はにも、
過すぎぎ去さった季き節せつの記き憶おくがある。
終おわりは静しずかな姿すがたをしている。

Even faded leaves
carry memories of passing seasons.
Endings wear a quiet form.
